Switch

Switches open or close a conductive path, and DCACLab includes on/off switches, push buttons and changeover types such as SPDT and DPDT. Circuits in this tag show how switch placement decides which loads receive current: a lamp switched on its own branch, two-way switching from two locations, simple logic made from switches in series (AND) or in parallel (OR), and reversing a motor's direction. For example, "Making Polarity switcher with the DPDT switch" uses one double-pole switch to reverse the polarity applied to a pair of LEDs.
