Bell

The electric bell rings while current flows through it, and schools often use it to introduce the electromagnet that strikes the gong in a real bell. Most circuits in this tag are short wiring exercises: a doorbell operated by a push button, a bell and a lamp in parallel on one supply, a bell switched through a relay, and alarm circuits that ring when a contact opens or closes. For example, "Bell rings" connects a bell, a switch and a resistor to a battery so the bell sounds when the switch is closed.
